Talks
I moved to London approximately one hundred years ago with a dream of becoming a performance poet (frankly I blame Craig Charles) and, whilst it turns out that isn't an actual job for those with Zone 3 rent to pay, it did turn me into an accomplished writer and performer.
My MA in Folklore Studies has made me an expert in all manner of weird and wonderful social history so if you are looking for a talk about ghosts, pubs or pubs AND ghosts* then I'm yer man! If you are looking for a talk with or without slides about anything on the weirder side of life then get in touch.
I've worked with spoken word and music groups Future Perfect and Not The Brontës at the Camden Fringe, the Bloomsbury Festival and in various venues across the city including the RVT and The Harrison.
I also facilitate Writing for Wellbeing sessions for my local community, both on and offline.

*talks not restricted to pubs and/or ghosts. Most recently I've given talks on the Cottingley Fairies (and my boyfriend Sir Arthur Conan Doyle); how to deconstruct our image of witches for the Women's Institute; and a deep dive into some local Lambeth legends.
